Arsenal youth player Krystian Bielik wants to return to Birmingham City for more first-team action with his contract at the Emirates expiring this summer.
The Poland U20 international is currently on loan at League One side Walsall, having arrived at Arsenal in 2015 ? making two League Cup appearances for the club ? after also completing a loan spell at Birmingham City last year.
The defender sustained a shoulder injury last summer and missed the first half of the season, and only returned to action in December. And the player has revealed his intentions to leave for a club that will allow him to play first-team football once again.
The shoulder injury, which required surgery, prevented Bielik from going out on loan to a different club in last summer’s transfer window.
Bielik, speaking to Przeglad Sporowy, discussed how there were other Championship clubs interested in signing him ? such as Norwich City and Nottingham Forest ? but ultimately withdrew their interest after his injury.
“There was interest from several clubs, but the injury closed many doors,” the 20-year-old said via Sky Sports.
