Arsene Wenger replies when asked if Arsenal are making January signings

Arsene Wenger hinted that he could be ready to bring in a new midfielder in the January transfer window after Arsenal’s goalless draw with Chelsea on Wednesday night.
Wenger watched his side play out a stalemate against their bitter London rivals at Stamford Bridge as the first leg of their League Cup semi-final clash ended all square.
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere picked up an ankle injury during the game and it is not yet clear how long he will be out of action for.
Aaron Ramsey is also currently sidelined and Wenger has suggested that he could be forced to look for a midfielder this month due to Arsenal’s injury problems.
Asked on Sky Sports after the game if he will make any signings this month, Wenger replied: ?At the moment we have five big injuries and hopefully we get some back.
“I believe that the earliest to come back is Ramsey and that is quite welcome because it?s an area we?re a bit short at the moment. “If we didn?t lose Jack Wilshere tonight and had Ramsey back, we had quite the number, but now it could look a little bit short [in midfield].?
Wenger is now preparing his side for their Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon as they look to try and get back to winning ways in the top flight following their 2-2 draw with Chelsea last week.
Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification this season.
The Gunners finished fifth last term as they missed out on a Champions League spot.
