Bayern Munich’s new signing ruled out for six weeks ahead of Arsenal games

Bayern Munich’s new signing Sacha Boey will reportedly be ruled out for six weeks in a Champions League boost for Arsenal ahead of the quarter-finals.
The news comes on the same day that Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer suffered a muscle strain in his left adductor during Germany training – with the 37-year-old goalkeeper heading back to his club – according to reports.
Boey, a 23-year-old right-back, joined Bayern Munich from Turkish side Galatasaray late in the January transfer window, with the German champions paying around ?35m for his services.
Boey made two Bundesliga appearances before suffering a torn fiber in his left thigh which ruled him out of the next three German top-flight games.
He has been an unused substitute for the last two Bundesliga games – suggesting he was not quite back at full fitness – and the same injury has now flared up again in training which will see him miss the next six weeks.
That’s according to German outlet Bild and if Boey is indeed absent for the next six weeks, then he is sure to miss both legs of the quarter-final against Arsenal.
Arsenal host Bayern Munich at the Emirates on April 9 before their second meeting at the Allianz Arena on April 17.
