Cesc Fabregas has officially joined Monaco, ending his four-and-a-half-year spell at Chelsea, and says he is excited about the club?s project.
The midfielder underwent a medical in the south of France on Friday after the two clubs finally agreed a fee, and Chelsea are now expected to push ahead with deals for either Leandro Paredes or Nicolo Barella as his replacement.
Fabregas will link up with former Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry at Monaco, who is his new manager, and his first task will be helping the side move clear of relegation.

Wow. I?m honoured to announce that I will be starting an exciting journey with this wonderfully historic Club. @as_monaco will be my home for the next 3.5 years and I cannot wait to start this new challenge. #daghemunegu #NowItsTime pic.twitter.com/t2rB4Vqklh — Cesc Fàbregas Soler (@cesc4official) January 11, 2019

?It is a great pleasure to join AS Monaco, a new project for me,? Fabregas told Monaco?s official website.
?The group is of quality with young players and a young coach.
