Edgar Davids hammers home a thunderbastard for Juventus
Edgar Davids’ six seasons with Juventus saw the midfielder become one of Europe’s most notorious competitors, a player who relished going toe-to-toe with the finest the continent had to offer.
Davids was part of a talented Ajax side that were crowned Champions League winners in 1995, before a disappointing spell at AC Milan was followed by a switch to Turin.
The move invigorated the Netherlands international who became a key component of a Bianconeri side that won three league titles across the turn of the millennium, the combative Davids proving the perfect foil for teammates including Zinedine Zidane and Didier Deschamps.
