Kylian Mbappe has told Paris Saint-Germain that he will leave the club at the end of the season amid transfer links to Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid.
Mbappe, widely considered as one of the best strikers in world football, is out of contract this summer and will now look to find a new side for the 2024-25 season, according to Sky Sports.
It has long been assumed that Mbappe will join Real Madrid but the player and his entourage are not satisfied with the Spanish club’s current contract offer.
That has opened the door to Arsenal and Liverpool but both teams are reluctant to break their wage structure – so Mbappe would have to reduce his demands.
It is thought that Mbappe would ?willingly join? Arsenal because he it would allow him to follow in the footsteps of his hero Thierry Henry.
Henry, though, is worried that Mbappe joining a club outside of France could see him miss the Olympic Games in Paris later this year.
Arsenal are said to have explored a deal for the 25-year-old, who has scored 243 goals across 290 games for the French champions.
