The five longest unbeaten runs in Europe’s top four leagues: 5. Liverpool – 44 games – 2019-20
One year, one month and 27 days. That’s how long Liverpool went between defeats in the Premier League, going on the second-longest streak in English football history.
After a defeat to Manchester City in January 2019, the Reds responded with a long run without losing, next suffering defeat at Watford in February 2020.
That run included a record-breaking start to the 2019/20 campaign that saw Jurgen Klopp’s team compile the best-ever start to a season in one of Europe’s top five leagues, with 26 wins and one draw from their first 27 games.
