Tony Adams says Arsenal ‘have peaked’ and Mikel Arteta is in danger

Tony Adams has warned that his former club Arsenal ‘have peaked’ and has suggested that manager Mikel Arteta could be in danger of losing his job.
The Gunners finished second in the Premier League this season, their best top-flight finish since Arteta came in as boss.
Arsenal were eight points clear of Manchester City earlier in the campaign and looked set to lift the Premier League trophy for the first time in 19 years.
But a late collapse saw City come out on top as Arsenal finished the season without a trophy.
‘Mikel Arteta worked wonders to get Arsenal into second place considering the players he had at his disposal,’ Adams told The Sun.
‘But when a manager has massively over-performed and raised a club?s expectations so high, there?s often a fallout if the level of improvement isn?t maintained the following season.
‘And when that happens, he?s often gone by Christmas.’
