Unai Emery: What I find encouraging about Arsenal’s progress

Unai Emery has expressed his happiness with Arsenal’s progress after six consecutive wins left the Gunners two points behind the leaders in the Premier League.
Arsenal overcame strugglers Fulham FC in emphatic fashion with Sunday’s 5-1 victory at Craven Cottage, punctuated by goals which would have made former boss Arsene Wenger proud.
Expectations were low after losses to Manchester City and Chelsea in the two opening fixtures, and the speculation over Emery?s job after those early games now looks farfetched.
Speaking to Arsenal’s website about the north London side’s progress after their rout of Fulham, Emery said:
?We lost the first two matches against Manchester City and Chelsea.
?When we are winning now, continuing in matches, we need to be in the same way. ?I think our mentality: calm, work, enjoy and enjoy working, together as one thing with our supporters like today.
?But improving individually, improving collectively and also finding our best performance in each match and the combinations with the players and the system also.
?Because, we need to continue improving and we can.?
Not only have Arsenal FC won six out of six in the Premier League since their opening two losses, but they have also won all their games in cup and European competitions in that time.
Nine wins from nine is about as good as Arsenal FC fans could have dreamed of after the opening defeats and it is testament to both Emery and his squad that the kept their head...
