Five things we learned from Barcelona?s draw with Valencia

More points dropped by the champions Barcelona?s defending is proving costly
There were less than two minutes on the clock when Barcelona went behind yet again. They?ve now gone five games in all competitions without keeping a clean sheet.
Thomas Vermaelen was a surprise inclusion ahead of Clement Lenglet for this one, but he couldn?t clear Dani Parejo?s corner, neither could Pique, and Ezequiel Garay was left completely free to put it away.

It could have been worse too if Goncalo Guedes hadn?t gone off injured after 12 minutes. He was causing Barcelona all sorts of problems with his pace down the left flank. Barcelona?s defence was a big part of their title win last season, but so far this term the team have leaked goals and improvement is needed or they will keep dropping points.
Valverde?s lack of substitutes frustrates
Barcelona had the majority of the ball against Valencia but toiled to break down an organised home team.
After their midweek exertions against Tottenham in the Champions League there were unsurprisingly some tired legs out there too but Valverde was reluctant to change his team.
