This?ll go down well La Liga president Javier Tebas has been talking about goal-line technology once again in the aftermatch of Sunday?s Clasico.
Barca have been left furious after seeing Lamine Yamal denied a goal for an incident where it seemed the ball may have crossed the line.
With no goal-line tech available, it was up to VAR to try and decide what happened, with the end result being no goal for Barca.
Tebas defended the lack of technology at the time and has now told Marca that it?s basically not worth the money. ?It?s not a perfect technology, and that?s the first reason. But it?s not just that, over the course of a season, ghost goals occur three or four times, and if you add that it?s not perfect, the value is very high for the use it gets,? he said.
?It means investing between five and six million for the two categories to use it once and with doubts. With VAR, 99% of the plays can be resolved.?
La Liga has come in for plenty of criticism for the lack of goal-line tech after the match, with the incident proving that VAR is insuffient for such incidents.
