Arsène Wenger says Bayern Munich might have to take ?risks? in replacing Thomas Tuchel

The list of viable replacement options is dwindling for Bayern. The list of candidates to replace Thomas Tuchel as Bayern Munich manager after the end of the current season is starting to shrink as each day passes. Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, and Unai Emery were all names heavily linked with potentially becoming the new Bayern manager, but, by now, all have been entirely ruled out as an option.
Alonso is staying with Bayer Leverkusen next season, Nagelsmann is remaining on as Germany national team manager until after World Cup 2026, and Unai Emery just signed a contract extension with Aston Villa keeping him there through June 2027. While none of them were foregone conclusions to definitely get the nod from Bayern or even accept an offer, they were viable options to replace Tuchel. There are still candidates for Bayern, though. Ralf Rangnick, Arne Slot, Zinedine Zidane, and even Hansi Flick have all been rumored to be within the realm of possibility. Still, though, it will be a tall order for the club?s front office to make the right decision with a tightening timeline.
