Bayern II Dual National Star To Swith To USMNT

Timothy Tillman has made his decision Less than a week after losing dual national Jonathan Gonzalez to hated rivals El Tri of Mexico, the United States Men?s National Team got a bit of good news as 19 year old Bayern II attacking midfielder Timothy Tillman, himself a dual national, will file a one time switch with FIFA to play for the Americans.
Tillman has represented Germany at the U-20 level, thus necessitating the appeal with FIFA, but as his case is virtually identical to that of Julian Green, another Bayern youngster and dual national, there should be no roadblocks to him being granted the switch.
Tillman has appeared in 18 matches thus far for the Bayern reserves scoring four goals and four assists, even getting some first team action during Bayern?s preseason Audi Cup. While his path to the starting XI for the German National Team would have been much more difficult, Tillman is still roundly recognized as one of the top up and coming midfield prospects in the Bundesliga - as evidenced by Uli Hoeness personally vetoing a potential move to FC Barcelona. It is unknown if his younger brother Malik Tillman, a Bayern U-17 player will be joining him. Malik has represented both the US and Germany at the U-15 level. In other Bayern youth team news Niklas Tarnat, a defensive midfielder has transfered to Hannover 96 to join his father, former Bayern left back Michael Tarnat who took a job in the Hannover youth ranks this past summer.
