Matthijs de Ligt has been terrific of late for Bayern Munich. No one likes being criticized, not even world famous footballers.
Bayern Munich center-back Matthijs de Ligt recently spoke about how he has dealt with the criticism he has faced this season, and admitted that it is just part of the job.
?I think that was more from the beginning of the season, when I didn?t play much. Then they will of course look for an explanation why I am not playing. If this club is not at the top, everyone will be criticized. I have been playing again since the winter and I feel good. And yes, in the end a player is always as good as the performance of the team. If the team is doing well, then it is said that a player is in form. And if the team is not working, then it?s quickly said that things are not going well,? said De Ligt, whose status for next week?s game against Real Madrid is at least somewhat in doubt (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). As to what might have turned his season around, De Ligt thinks it comes down to comfort.
?If you look at the last matches, I?ve played almost every minute. I?m in good shape and I?m now playing at right center-back. For a while now I have been playing in my natural position, which makes it a bit easier,? the Dutchman noted.
