No formal talks yet for Thomas Tuchel to stay at Bayern Munich

There have not been any discussions initiated by the club for a contigency plan of just having Tuchel stay next season. Bayern Munich still does not have a replacement manager lined up for when Thomas Tuchel leaves the club at the end of the season. The candidate list is growing smaller in smaller with each passing weeks due to other big clubs also on the manager hunt, and certain managers having made their minds up to either go, or stay, elsewhere.
Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann were both top choices for Bayern, but both have recently committed their futures elsewhere. Alonso with Bayer Leverkusen and Nagelsmann with the German national team through World Cup 2026. As it stands, Austria manager Ralf Rangnick is the leading candidate for the Rekordmeister while Roberto De Zerbi, Zinedine Zidane, and Hansi Flick could still be in the mix. Arne Slot is also an option that has been mentioned, but he is also being pursued by Liverpool. The question has certainly been asked. Could Bayern just keep hold of Tuchel for just another season" There has been a bit of a renewed sense of faith after Bayern got past Arsenal to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals, but the season as a whole has still been underwhelming.
