Post-Match Reactions: Borussia Dortmund Beat Atletico Madrid, Through to the Champions League Semi-Finals!

Borussia Dortmund are through to the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2013! In what was an incredible game, an instant classic in all honesty, Borussia Dortmund rallied to score four goals against Diego Simeone?s Atletico Madrid, coming behind on the aggregate not once, but twice. It was an incredible performance, and although Atletico?s halftime changes posed a bit of a hiccup, overall Edin Terzic and Borussia Dortmund were able to overcome them, and will now go on to face Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals.
Dortmund started on the front foot, creating the majority of chances including an almost-goal by Marcel Sabitzer, before striking twice in quick succession with goals from Julian Brandt and Ian Maatsen. Jan Oblak would have liked to have both goals back, as they were both tight finishes from very wide angles, but they went in nonetheless. Diego Simeone would make three substitutions at the halftime and they would pay quick dividends, with Atletico roaring out of the gate and scoring twice to swing the momentum back in their favor. Thankfully, it would not be long before Dortmund would equalize in the aggregate, with Marcel Sabitzer collecting the ball near the corner and whipping a cross to Niclas Füllkrug, who converted with a classic center-forward?s header. Only minutes later, Sabitzer would score to put Dortmund ahead on aggregate and...
