The Ecuadorian youth player is highly touted alongside his national and club teammate, Kendry Paez, who recently signed for Chelsea. Lerma reportedly caught Dortmund's eye when the team?s scouts were scouting Paez, who they attempted to sign in 2023, and Lerma recently made his debut in the Ecuadorian First Division.
