Bournemouth had ?directors? in attendance for Villarreal?s clash with Real Sociedad at the beginning of this month as they look to revive their interest in Nicolas Jackson.
That?s according to AS and Marca, with the latter stating that the Bournemouth delegation were ?delighted? with what they saw from the forward.
The two newspapers explain that the Cherries have kept an eye on Jackson since the January transfer window, when they were one step away from signing him in a ?25m deal.
That never happened as medical tests revealed a hamstring injury, something which led Bournemouth to cancel the deal at the time.
Jackson has since recovered and been starring in La Liga, with a series of impressive performances for Villarreal putting him back on the map and earning him plenty of praise. And Bournemouth have been keeping a close eye on that, with both AS and Marca reporting that he is ?again a target? for Gary O?Neill?s side.
The former reports that they followed him live in the clash with Real Sociedad earlier this month as they have been ?keeping an eye on? him since that failed January move.
Indeed, as far as they?re concerned that aborted move ?could become a reality? this summer instead.
Marca say the same, saying those who travelled to that game on Bournemouth?s behalf were ?pleasantly surprised? by what they saw from Jackson on the day.
