Busy week ends with league action for the under-21s
It?s been a particularly busy week for our under-21s with a league game last Sunday, a cup semi-final two days ago and now, today, it?s back to league action with the visit of Barnsley.
We followed up last Sunday?s 2-0 league win against Charlton with the 4-3 Central League Cup victory against Stockport. Both of those games were at home, as is today?s, but after the Turf and Gawthorpe, it?s back to Leyland this afternoon.
Today?s game is one rearranged following a postponement earlier in the season with Barnsley our visitors. Barnsley beat south group strugglers Bristol City at home on Tuesday this week with their previous game having come six days earlier at Charlton. They scored four goals in each of those games.
This is a fixture that has always gone our way in previous Professional Development League seasons. We won 1-0 in 2017/18 with Olatunde Bayode scoring our goal and a season later all of Tinashe Chakwana, Jordan Cropper,...
