Clarets hit four in under-21 league
Burnley have beaten Peterborough United 4-0 this afternoon at Gawthorpe in the Professional Development League with three of the goals coming from the recent signings.
Mikey O?Neill was on target again midway through the second half and right on half time, which was extended by several minutes because of an injury to Peterborough?s Kay Corbett, we bagged a second from Will Hugill.
Joe Bevan (pictured), who arrived at the end of the last window from Albion Rovers, got his Burnley career off the mark with a brace in the second half. That concluded the scoring although Tommy McDermott failed to make it five with a penalty which hit the post. The teams were;
Burnley: Sam Waller, Alex Healy-Byrne, Benn Ward (Noah Adekoya ht), Logan Pye, Joe Ashton, Ackeme Francis-Burrell, Will Hugill, Tommy McDermott, Vernon Masara (Brandon Pouani 73), Joe Bevan, Mikey O?Neill. Subs: Harry Moss, Michael Parker, Tom Tweedy.
Peterborough: Fynn Talley, Vontae Daley-Campbell, Harley Mills, Will van Lier, Ollie Rose, Harry Thomas, Kai Corbett, Hisham Chiha, Pemi Aderoju, Donay O?Brien-Brady, David Kawa. Subs: Jake West, Joseph Toynton, Aaron Powell, Gergo Bodnar, Lewis Darlington.
