Fofana leads the way in West Ham draw
Striker David Datro Fofana scored our opening goal at West Ham last Sunday, a stunning strike from over twenty-five yards out, but it was his overall performance that has won him both the man of the match and the player ratings.
It was Fofana?s best performance yet in a Burnley shirt and it enabled him to win 45% of the man of the match vote. The two midfielders were behind him in the vote, Josh Cullen finishing second with a 22% share and Sander Berge claiming third place having won 19%. Charlie Taylor just clinched fourth place with 3% of the vote.
On a day when the player ratings were higher than in some previous games, the top three in the vote all had ratings higher than seven out of ten for a good performance and they came in the same order with Fofana on top with 7.65 with Cullen and Berge next with ratings of 7.52 and 7.19 respectively. Fourth place went to Jacob Bruun Larsen for his first half performance, prior to his substitution at the interval; his rating was 6.71 out of ten. That result has given Fofana ten points towards the Up the Clarets Player of the Year with six points for Cullen, four points going to Berge and one each for Larsen and Taylor. That?s extended Berge?s lead at the top of the table to 54 points while both Fofana and Cullen have moved into the top eight with their recent performances.
We are back to Saturday football this weekend with the visit of Brentford and the vote will be underway after the game.
