Late goal wins it at Swansea
The under-21s got back to winning ways this afternoon, beating the very much in form Swansea City 2-1 at their Landore training ground.
Ahead of kick off, the two teams paid tribute to Leighton James. He?d be just a name to those on the pitch but the tribute will have been very much appreciated by the supporters of the two clubs who meant so much to him.
Swansea appeared to have the better of the opening exchanges but it was the Clarets who went in front from the penalty spot in the 19th minute. It remained at 1-0 through to half time.
Just five minutes into the second half and Swansea were level with Kyrell Wilson with his fifteenth Professional Development League goal of the season and for much of the game after that, it looked likely to end 1-1. That was until Welshman Tom Tweedy scored our winner in the 88th minute of the game. It?s given u our twelfth win of the season in the league and lifted us back into sixth place in the table.
