Ntumba Massanka leaves Burnley

Young striker Ntumba Massanka has confirmed this evening on social media that he’s leaving Burnley after nine years at the club.
Now 22, he came in as a 13-year-old, recruited from the Manchester area and three years later won a scholarship and proved to be a prolific goalscorer in the youth team and that sort of form landed him a professional contract.
The goalscoring continued initially for the development squad and things looked good. He even made the bench for the League Cup tie at Accrington in 2016. However, a series of loans to teams in League Two, York and Morecambe, and the National League, Wrexham and Dover, weren’t as successful as he might have hoped although he did score one spectacular goal for Wrexham in the first of two loan spells at the Racecourse Ground. He spent the first half of this season at Dover although injuries prevented him playing in more than three games before he moved to Belgium in January for a loan spell at RWD Molenbeek.
Earlier today, Ntumba posted on Twitter: “My time at Burnley has finally come to an end, it’s been an unforgettable 9 years. I’ve been fortunate enough to play and work with some great people, thank you to everyone involved, wishing the club all the best.”
Up the Clarets wishes him the very best.
