Under-21s are back home
After two away wins in the last week, the under-21s are back home tomorrow, and literally back home with the Professional Development League fixture against Bournemouth to be played at Turf Moor.
With only one of our home games to date having been played at our home ground, and that the 3-0 win against QPR back in early September that featured a Joe Westley hat trick, we now have two more coming up with tomorrow?s followed by the game against Charlton on Sunday, 14th April.
We go into the game in form too. We?ve won six of our last seven league and cup games and we sit sixth in the north group of the table albeit with games in hand that could see us push all of the three teams directly above us.
A win tomorrow wouldn?t move us up the table but would take us to withing a point of Barnsley and still with three games in hand. Our opponents Bournemouth are in their first ever season as a Category 2 academy and they are in third place in the south group table behind Millwall and QPR. They currently have 39 points, eight more than our total, but have played four games more.
They?ve had mixed results recently with just two wins from the last seven league games and those victories coming against two of the bottom three in their group. The second of those wins was last Friday when they beat Cardiff 2-0 with Dominic Sadi scoring both goals, the second of them from the penalty spot.
