The Belgian media today highlights Ameen Al-Dakhil’s situation at Burnley and are started to get worried about it.
With the player missing out in the Clarets’ last five league games, outlet RTBF features a story claiming he ‘disappeared’ at the club.
Al-Dakhil had been left out of the squads that faced Crystal Palace, Arsenal, West Ham and Sheffield United.
He was, however, brought to the bench for the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but was still not used by Vincent Kompany.
It’s said the manager removed the defender from the team when trying to find defensive solutions for the Clarets, who had a poor start of the season.
The big issue is that, despite a minor injury, the 21-year-old had been fit in the international break, and it’s unknown why he has been left out of the squad for so long, as it’s claimed that there has been no communication about it either. RTBF says Al-Dakhil’s situation at Burnley will ‘certainly’ draw the attention from Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco, who had him as one of his main options to replace Wout Faes at the national team and now sees him going through a tough time at Turf Moor.
