‘He has great talent’: Lampard salutes Chelsea FC midfielder



Frank Lampard has admitted that he has been impressed by Ross Barkley’s form and attitude for Chelsea FC and England this season.
The midfielder has been getting used to life under Lampard at Stamford Bridge after the former midfielder was brought in as the club’s new manager back in July.
The 25-year-old scored twice and made an assist in England’s thumping 6-0 win over Bulgaria during the international break and also played 18 minutes of the 2-1 loss to Czech Republic.
Barkley will now be hoping to continue to impress at club level as he bids to hold down a regular spot at Stamford Bridge under Lampard.
The England international has been in and out of the Chelsea FC team so far this season.
But Lampard has appeared to indicate that Barkley will be given his chance to shine if he continues to apply himself the way he has been doing up until now. Speaking before Chelsea FC’s clash with Newcastle United on Saturday, Lampard said: “One thing I have found from working with Ross is that he really wants to learn and improve.
“He wants to listen and he has great talent. That is probably why people have judged him to be at a level from a young age because we do get excited when a great talent comes through in England.
