Chelsea have put Brazilian striker Pedro on a list of possible reinforcements for the summer as they look to add a striker to their squad.
That?s according to O Dia in Brazil, who report that the 26-year-old is one of three options currently being looked at.
They explain that Pedro has been going through an excellent phase for Flamengo, with seven goals in seven games establishing him as their top scorer and one of his best starts to a season in his career.
He?s already been scouted by teams in Europe in the past, with Tottenham and Cadiz, as well as Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal looking at him in 2023 and asking for information on him.
That never came to anything serious and a move to Europe is considered difficult at this moment in time, but that?s not stopped Chelsea from adding him to a list of possible signings that includes Roberto Firmino and Karim Benzema. All would be relatively expensive purchases, even if the latter two are 32 years old and 36-years-old respectively, with Pedro?s current deal at Flamengo including a ?60m release clause for sides outside of Brazil.
The Brazilian side won?t ask for that amount but rejected an ?18m bid from Benfica last year, instead insisting that they would only negotiate a deal starting at ?25m.
Whether that?s a price Chelsea would be willing to pay isn?t mentioned but the interest is reportedly there and something to keep an eye on in the coming months.
