Chelsea loan deal seen as ‘proper bargain’, ?10m clause could end up being a mistake

With the likes of Davide Zappacosta, Victor Moses, César Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri already at Chelsea, Ola Aina was never going to start at Stamford Bridge.
That?s why a loan deal was sorted out for the young Nigeria international, and Torino in Serie A, now managed by Walter Mazzarri, were the ones who snapped up his services.
Paying ?600k originally for the loan, the Italian club also agreed to pay ?10m to the Blues should the player impress them enough, and impress them he has.
So much so, in fact, that Calciomercato believe Torino have pulled off a great deal with that clause, as as his age and his performances, should they continue to be as good, could see his value go beyond the clause amount before the end of the season. Embed from Getty Images
By that, it seems they’re saying making it so low was a mistake by the Blues.
His ability to play on either side of the three-at-the-back defence has been of huge help to Mazzarri, who recently oversaw his squad?s 4-1 victory away to Sampdoria, and the deal is now seen as a ?proper bargain?.
At the end of the day, for Chelsea, it?s ?10m for a player they were never going to play anyway, but this is also why they stockpile talent.
Easy money if their scouts are correct.
