Man City and Chelsea player ratings from Europe – 6 Blues blank marks, average 4/10



Manchester City’s 6-0 victory over Chelsea on Sunday is making the news around Europe as well as in the UK.
Such a scoreline needs a balance of praising the victors and wondering what on earth is going on with Maurizio Sarri’s side.
After such a good start for the Italian at Stamford Bridge, there are now genuine questions about his future at Chelsea, even if it’s assumed he’ll continue in charge until the end of the current season.
Marca make sure to praise ‘heavenly’ Sergio Aguero for his hat-trick, and award the Manchester City player three stars, along with teammatesIlkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling.
Pep Guardiola gets the same very good grade, but his opposite number was given a blank mark.
The Spanish newspaper don’t go easy on their compatriots, with Kepa and Marcos Alonso also given blanks, along with Antonio Rudiger, Ross Barkley and Gonzalo Higuain. Over in Italy, they have things slightly differently.

Manchester City’s Migliore was Aguero, given 8.5/10, with his manager awarded 9/10 for his part in the victory.
