Midfielder Denis Zakaria is ?thriving? at new club AS Monaco after reuniting with manager Adi Hutter and putting his miserable spell at Chelsea behind him.
That?s according to Rheinische Post, who covers the player today and how he is now enjoying life with the Ligue 1 side following a difficult few years.
He joined Monaco in a ?20m deal from Juventus in the summer after returning from a loan spell at Chelsea that could be described as unsuccessful at the least.
He moved to Stamford Bridge on loan last season but managed just 11 appearances and 599 minutes of football across the campaign.
Things have improved drastically in Monaco, though, which Rheinische Post detail today. They explain that Adi Hutter is like a father to the midfielder, having worked with him at Borussia Monchengladbach earlier in his career. That spell was arguably the best he?s enjoyed, and his career was ?at a dead end? but a reunion with Hutter has revived things.
It?s actually the third time they?ve worked together, and the newspaper says Hutter has proven to be a lifeline and a source of energy for the restart of his career following that miserable time at Chelsea last year.
