Chelsea star Conor Gallagher apologises for 91st-minute goal

Conor Gallagher has apologised to Crystal Palace fans for his 91st-minute goal which helped secure a 3-1 comeback victory for Chelsea on Monday.
Jefferson Lerma fired the Eagles ahead at Selhurst Park in a poor first half for Chelsea which saw them fail to register a single shot on target.
But the Blues turned it around after the break with Gallagher levelling things up in the 47th minute before he struck in added time.
Enzo Fernandez also got on the scoresheet in the 94th minute as Chelsea left south London with all three points.
Gallagher spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Palace and was crowned Player of the Year after an impressive campaign.
Ironically, though, Gallagher has now scored more Premier League goals against Crystal Palace than he has against any other side with four.
The England international has also netted more goals at Selhurst Park – six – than he has at any other ground in the competition.

Gallagher feels bad and told Sky Sports after the game: ‘I do love them (Palace fans), that’s the thing, but you can’t beat that feeling. I’m sorry Palace fans.’
The 24-year-old also hailed his manager Mauricio Pochettino for his tactical tweak which helped secure the victory.
