Crystal Palace are interested in signing young Chelsea star Lewis Hall on loan, according to reports.
Hall has been one of the few bright spots from an otherwise disastrous season for Chelsea, and last Sunday won the club’s Academy Player of the Year award.
The Blues have finished the 2022/23 campaign 12th in the Premier League, one place below London rivals Palace and much closer to the relegation zone than the Champions League spots.
This was hardly the fault of 18-year-old Hall however, who made 11 appearances for the senior team and looked very promising, especially in the recent games at Manchester City and Manchester United.
And it seems his performances have caught the eye with the Daily Mail reporting that the Eagles are exploring the possibility of taking him on loan at Selhurst Park next season.
Palace have had success with Chelsea loanees in the past, most notably with Conor Gallagher in 2021/22 and Hall is capable of playing both as a left-back and central midfielder, two positions the south London side need to strengthen in this summer.
Tyrick Mitchell is the only natural left-back in the squad, while midfield stalwarts James McArthur and Luka Milivojevic have both left following the expiry of their contracts.
