Where was Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek"
One of the surprises from a Palace point of view was a complete absence of Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek from the squad. RLC has been a regular starter for Roy Hodgson. Although many Palace fans have been calling for the Chelsea loanee to be deployed in a more central position rather than out wide.
Against Man City, however, Loftus-Cheek was nowhere to be seen.
With no reports of an injury to the Blues midfielder, it seems clear that RLC was dropped for tactical reasons.
