£25million Everton signing now in jeopardy after latest development

Everton could be set to lose out on a £25million signing that looked all but confirmed after some very late developments on Friday.
Those developments are that the club have sent a delegation to Turkey on Friday morning amid fears that their move for Cenk Tosun could be hijacked.
The club looked like the clear front-runners to sign the forward and there were even thoughts that he was already an Everton player after a medical and more.
Now, Everton are fearing the worst with a number of clubs now lining up to sign the player and their delegation speaks volumes.
Reports claim that the party of Everton officials included Toffees’ director of football Steve Walsh as they make the final push to sign the player.
Talks are expected to take place over the weekend with the delegation and Besiktas, presumably Tosun’s team too as they look to thrash out a deal.

This one could certainly end up going down to the wire for the Toffees and they need a front man in very soon if they are to push any higher than 8th.

The club could be fairly busy in the January transfer window with several options lined up.
That is because the club want to ensure there are no slip-ups such as the one at... view: 1
