Everton chance to secure target for ?15m, despite claim they’ve already offered ?18m

Early on in the summer transfer window, towards the end of June, Everton were said to be interested in Inter?s Marcelo Brozovic.
In fact, Gazzetta dello Sport went as far as suggesting the Toffees had offered around ?18m for the Croatia international, an amount the Serie A side had rejected, hoping to get around ?20-25m.
The Premier League side never matched Inter?s demands, and the 25-year-old ended up staying in Milan under Luciano Spalletti where he has appeared 15 times, scored three goals and picked up an assist.
Despite some fairly impressive stats for a central midfielder, it?s worth pointing out Brozovic has only started seven of those games, and that?s why Inter are said to be open to a sale, as Calciomercato on Thursday claim ?15m would probably be an amount the club would accept. The reasons behind this aren?t great, as the website explain Brozovic is ?late in showing signs of maturity?, with ?disappearances worthy of Copperfield? on the pitch.
While there?s been a managerial change at Goodison Park since Everton reportedly made an offer for the midfielder, Sam Allardyce seems like the kind of manager capable of instilling maturity in players fairly quickly.
Perhaps a move to Merseyside is exactly what Brozovic needs to get his career back on track, and it might not even be that much of a gamble at ?15m.
