A football fan with a history of racist trolling has been jailed for 15 weeks after racially abusing a fellow Everton supporter online.
Shaun Tuck, 37, from Liverpool, posted a series of racially charged taunts in the comments section of Everton FC’s official Facebook page in August last year.
A court heard he flew off the handle after seeing posts by a Liverpool FC fan about Everton’s likelihood of being relegated out of the Premier League.
Police said some of his responses included ‘racist abuse about a fellow Everton supporter’.
They included calling someone ‘Kit-Kat toes’ as well as references to ‘your tribe’, living in a ‘mud swamp’ and suggestions they have ‘yet to see a house, clean water, hot food, food without flies’.
In one comment, he wrote: ‘And I have tweeted Bob Geldof to never ever do another concert for you!’
Tuck, who previously played semi-professionally for a number of lower league sides, was previously jailed for 12 weeks in 2013 after calling on Twitter for British mosques to be ‘gassed out or bombed’ in the wake of soldier Lee Rigby’s murder.
