We?ve got yet another update on Henry Onyekuru?s status from Belgium, as the Everton loanee continues to recuperate from his knee injury sustained just before the new year.
Last we heard (from Anderlecht themselves) towards the end of February, the 20-year-old was back in England, working with the Toffees? staff, and more information was meant to be given the following week.
However, that never seemed to happen, and DH have taken it upon themselves to find out what?s going on, about three weeks later, and it?s mixed news.

In order to do that, he needs to get a work permit, which he can also obtain if he plays at the World Cup for Nigeria. However, to get selected for his country, he needs to play for Anderlecht, but they?re worried he?ll get injured again because he didn?t have surgery, at Everton?s request, to mend his knee injury.
Therefore, there?s a bit of a stand off, and DH say that Hein Vanhaezebrouck will only use Onyekuru in the final games of the season ?if he can help the team?.
Despite all this, we still don?t have a return date for the young forward.
