Huge update on Everton’s move for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun

Everton’s move for Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun has been well documented over the past few days but there has been a twist in the tale.
It was reported yesterday that a fee had been agreed with both clubs for the Turkish striker but that could not be the last of it.
That is because the Liverpool Echo is now reporting while Everton remains keen on completing a deal for Tosun, it has not yet been concluded.
The fee that had been reported over the past few days was 25million, with the Guardian running it as an exclusive that a deal had been reached.
On Thursday both Paul Joyce and the Liverpool Echo were stern in reminding people that patience was key in certain circumstances.
This needs to be one of them with the clubs still needing to thrash out a deal over the next few days until the 1st January.
Everton’s troubles in the striking position this season have also been well documented with Dominic Calvert-Lewin having to fill in.
Moves for Olivier Giroud and Christian Benteke have been mooted in the past but it looks as both deals are unable to be completed. Now, all attention turns to Cenk Tosun who has impressed for Besiktas this season and who Sam Allardyce will be looking to solve his attacking blows.
Maybe the club will be able to replace Romelu Lukaku after all.

Arsene Wenger hits back at claims Giroud?s wife tanked Everton move
While Tosun is obviously the flavour of the month, it wasn’t long ago that he wasn’t.
In fact, it was Olivier Giroud in which the club were hell-bent on signing but it didn’t go to plan.
The Frenchman decided to stay at Arsenal for reasons that reportedly came out this week.
Now, his manager has hit back for him.
