Manchester City transfer could still be on despite injury, summer switch looks likely

Hoping to find some game time at Everton after convincing Sam Allardyce he was the right man for the job to provide depth to the Toffees? defence, Eliaquim Mangala is now sat at home, recovering from knee surgery.
Set to return to Manchester City at the end of the season, if he hasn?t already, the France international will need to find himself a new club over the summer if he can, as the arrival of Aymeric Laporte at the Etihad will have blocked his already difficult path into Pep Guardiola?s first-team.
One side who could provide him with a second (third" fourth" fifth") chance are AS Monaco, who were already said to be interested last summer, as Le Foot in France claim Leonardo Jardim is still following his progress (at least when he was fit). Embed from Getty Images

With little backup (Andrea Raggi) to Kamil Glik and Jemerson at his disposal, an extra man would go a long way, and would alleviate some of the pressure for Mangala, clearly short of fitness and confidence after some desolate years in the north of England.
Considering the former Porto star only has a year left on his Manchester City deal, this year will probably be when the Cityzens admit defeat and finally sell him for good.
