Nottingham Forest have officially launched an appeal as they look to overturn the four-point deduction handed to them from the Premier League.
Last week, Forest became the second top-flight side to face punishment this season for breaching profitability and sustainability rules.
Forest were left furious with the decision and launched a scathing attack on the Premier League with an angry statement.
News of Forest being hit with minus four points came after Everton were slapped with a 10-point deduction, which dropped to six after a successful appeal.
Forest are now set to make their own appeal as they issued a fresh statement on their club website on Monday.
‘Nottingham Forest can confirm that it has today lodged an appeal against the four point sanction imposed by the Commission in relation to the Club?s breach of the Premier League?s Profit & Sustainability Rules (PSR),’ the statement read.
‘The club will not be making any further statement at this time.’
