‘Totally wrong’ – Alan Shearer blasts referee decision behind Liverpool winner that left Nottingham Forest fuming

Alan Shearer has slammed Premier League officials after getting a crucial decision ?totally wrong? minutes before Liverpool?s dramatic winner at Nottingham Forest.
Darwin Nunez headed home the winning goal in the 99th minute to secure another huge late win for Jurgen Klopp?s side.
There was major controversy in the lead-up to the goal, however. Referee Paul Tierney stopped play in the 96th minute after Ibrahima Konate went down with a head injury in the Liverpool box during a Forest corner.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was in possession when play was stopped but the ball was returned to Caoimhin Kelleher in goal for an uncontested drop ball as play resumed.
Liverpool cleared the ball upfield and after sustained pressure from the visitors, Nunez headed home the late winner.
IFAB rules suggest Forest should have been awarded the drop ball after Konate went down with Hudson-Odoi in possession with former Premier League official Mark Clattenburg claimed Liverpool benefitted from a mistake from referee Tierney.
Premier League legend Shearer was among those left bewildered by the decision, insisting the Liverpool goal ?doesn?t happen? if the right call was made.

?He?s dropped a big clanger, Paul Tierney,? Shearer told Match of the Day. ?He’s got it totally wrong. It?s a corner to Forest late on, and Konate gets a head injury.
?He gets knocked down by his goalkeeper...
