Thierry Henry: What I really think about Liverpool FC forward Mohamed Salah

Thierry Henry admits Mohamed Salah’s potential to score more Premier League goals is “scary” ahead of Liverpool FC’s home clash against Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.
The Egypt international completed a 39m move to Liverpool FC from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s attacking options at the Merseyside club.
Salah scored on his Liverpool FC debut in a 3-3 draw with Watford in their Premier League opener to make a promising start to his Reds career after an underwhelming spell in 2014.
The African forward has netted 17 times in 22 games in the Premier League to leave his mark at the Anfield outfit following his summer move.
Salah has scored crucial goals against Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur in the current campaign to prove that he is a big-time player.
Liverpool FC sold Philippe Coutinho to La Liga giants Barcelona in a big-money deal earlier in the January transfer window to leave a potential void in Jurgen Klopp’s team. However, former Arsenal striker Henry believes the blow of Coutinho’s departure will be softened by Salah’s prolific form in the Premier League in the current campaign.
“I said at the beginning of the season he can be the new Coutinho – obviously I did not know that Coutinho was going to leave,” Henry told Sky Sports.
“It is actually scary as look at the actual amount of goals he scores, but also look at the amount of goals he missed – one versus one, not easy goals at the end of the day, because they are not easy.
“But goals you would like to think that if he starts to work on his calmness, pose, do what you have to do, he is going to destroy teams even more so than what he is doing right now because I think he missed more goals than he scored.
“And the ones that he missed were easier than the ones he scored! I always have been a big fan, he is having an amazing season with Liverpool.R... view: 2
