Goalkeeper Joe Hart has announced he will retire from football at the end of the season.

The Celtic shot stopper, who won 75 caps for England, will be 37 when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

He has informed the Scottish champions his third season at Parkhead will be his last in the game.

Hart has made 690 club appearances since making his professional debut for Shrewsbury Town in 2004, joining Manchester City in 2006.

After an impressive loan spell at Birmingham City, he became first choice in the blue half of Manchester, helping the club win their first Premier League title in the 2011/12 season and again in 2013/14, also winning the FA Cup and two League Cups.
After being replaced in goal by Pep Guardiola, Hart had spells on loan at Torino and West Ham United before spending two years at Burnley. In 2021, he joined Celtic, where he has won two league titles, a Scottish Cup and two Scottish League Cups.

At international level, he was part of England squads in four successive major tournaments between 2010 and 2016, winning his last cap in 2017.
