Daniel Sturridge blasts Mauricio Pochettino for subbing off Chelsea duo in Manchester City draw

Daniel Sturridge says Mauricio Pochettino made a big tactical error in the closing stages of Chelsea’s 1-1 draw at Manchester City.
Rodri rescued a point late on for City after Raheem Sterling had given Chelsea the lead at the Etihad.
The home side enjoyed much of the possession on Saturday evening, but that suited the visitors very nicely as they constantly created problems on the counter-attack.
That was until the final 20 minutes or so, at which stage Pochettino subbed off Cole Palmer for centre-back Trevoh Chalobah, having earlier taken Sterling off for Christopher Nkunku.
The final starting forward Nicolas Jackson was also subbed off for midfielder Cesare Casadei just moments before Rodri’s equaliser.
Sturridge believes Chelsea should have stuck with their counter-attacking tactic rather than just try and hold off City’s imperious attack.
‘See for me, things are going nice, counter attacks, chops and changes, combinations, all these types of things…,’ the former Chelsea, City and Liverpool forward said on Sky Sports.
