Jurgen Klopp reveals what Liverpool midfielder James Milner said about his injury after Manchester City draw

Jurgen Klopp has revealed what James Milner said about his injury after Liverpool’s goalless draw with Manchester City at Anfield.
Milner, 32, has enjoyed a superb start to the new Premier League season and lined up against reigning champions City on Sunday afternoon.
But he lasted just 29 minutes before suffering a hamstring injury and hobbling off, being replaced by Liverpool summer signing Naby Keita.

Speaking after the 0-0 draw, Klopp revealed Milner told him that he ‘did not think’ the problem was serious.
The Liverpool manager said: ‘I asked him “big one"” and he said “I don’t think so, but big enough to go off”.’ A closely-fought match could have been settled by Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez with five minutes remaining after the visitors were awarded a penalty.

Second-half substitute Leroy Sane was felled in the box by Virgil van Dijk but Mahrez, who signed from Leicester City in the summer, smashed his spot-kick over the bar.
Pep Guardiola refused to criticise Mahrez, however, telling Sky Sports after the draw: ?[Riyad] had the courage and the balls to take the penalty, in training he shoots perfect penalties but sometimes it happens.
