Arsene Wenger believes Juventus got too ‘comfortable’ in the second half against Manchester United and threw away their lead by being overly defensive.
Cristiano Ronaldo found the net against his former club with a stunning volley in the 65th minute before two late goals secured a crucial Champions League victory for Jose Mourinho’s men in Group H.
Juan Mata scored United’s equaliser with an exquisite free-kick in the 86th minute and an unfortunate own goal from Alex Sandro sealed the three points for the visitors at the death.
Second-half substitutes Mata and Marouane Fellaini swung the game in United’s favour, but Wenger laid some of the blame at the door of Massimiliano Allegri for his negative tactics after the break.
