David De Gea & Marc-Andre ter Stegen
Both Manchester United goalie David De Gea and Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen work with Adidas.
Adidas provide De Gea and Ter Stegen with their gloves, boots and gear.
So it’s not in the interests of the Man United or Barcelona keepers to speak badly about anything Adidas unless they felt compelled.
Following Friday night’s international friendlies, both De Gea and Ter Stegen were among a group of high profile keepers to criticise the 2018 World Cup ball.
The World Cup ball is called the Adidas Telstar 18.
De Gea: “It’s really strange”
Spain drew 1-1 with Germany on Friday. The Man United keeper was beaten by a 25-yard dipper from Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller. After the game De Gea gave the following comments about the World Cup ball:
It’s really strange. It could have been made a lot better.

Barcelona’s Ter Stegen was equally unimpressed with with Adidas ball:
The ball could be better; it moves a lot. But I think we’re just going to have to get used to working with it, and try to get to grips with it as quickly as possible before the World Cup starts. We’ve got no other option.
