Ian Wright claims Paulo Dybala forced Manchester United to pull out of signing him

Ian Wright believes Paulo Dybala forced Manchester United to pull out of the race to sign him, by making purposefully exorbitant demands.
The 25-year-old Argentine held talks with the Red Devils over the summer – in a deal that would have seen Romelu Lukaku join the Italian giants – but they ultimately withdrew from negotiations.
United chiefs were not convinced that Dybala really wanted to play for the club and pulled the plug on a deal, with Lukaku ultimately joining Juventus’ Serie A rivals Inter Milan.
While United fans may have been disappointed to miss out on such a high-profile signing, Arsenal legend Wright is certain that the move would have been a disaster and thinks Dybala – who also held talks with Tottenham Hotspur – sabotaged negotiations to avoid making a move to the Premier League outfit. ‘I think Manchester United would never have a problem attracting people once they want them,’ he told BBC 5 Live.
