Jamie Redknapp: I feel sorry for Paul Pogba, Man United don’t know his best position



Jamie Redknapp has admitted that he feels sorry for Paul Pogba at Manchester United.
The France international was subbed off in the second half of the Red Devils’ 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Sunday afternoon.
Pogba was guilty of poor marking in the lead up to Matt Richie’s winner to prompt more criticism of the Manchester United record signing.
The 24-year-old was involved in a heated debate with manager Jose Mourinho before his substitution in a 2-0 loss at Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley last month.
Mourinho omitted Pogba from the starting line-up for Manchester United’s 2-0 win against Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford.
However, former Liverpool FC captain Redknapp has sympathy for Pogba given Mourinho still doesn’t know his record signing’s best position in the Manchester United team. “Henrikh Mkhitaryan never replicated his best form at Dortmund before leaving for Arsenal, Luke Shaw has spent long periods frozen out and Paul Pogba looks like a lost boy,” Redknapp told the Daily Mail.
“Pogba has been heavily criticised but I feel sorry for him. How is it that we still do not know the best position of United?s 89million record signing"
