Juan Mata reveals future thinking after sublime Turin free-kick

Juan Mata has contradicted claims in France that he is heading for Spain this summer.
Mata had started the last four games before last night’s trip to Juventus, where he was left on the bench.
However, the 30-year-old replaced Alexis Sanchez on 79 minutes with United 1-0 down and fired in a brilliant free-kick to level the scores before United grabbed a last-gasp win through an own goal.
Mata is out of contract in the summer and able to speak to interested foreign parties in January and France Football on Wednesday claimed he was looking for a return to Valencia at the end of the season.
The French outlet claimed the midfielder was eager to return to Spain after seven years in England.
Mata though, who extended his contract by 12 months last season, says he is in talks over a new deal at Old Trafford. “I am very happy in England, my contract is up in the summer, and I?m in talks with Manchester United in order to see what happens,” Mata told El Transistorin Turin last night.
Mata made his name during his four-year spell at the Mestalla before leaving for Chelsea in 2011 for 37.1million.
It was reported last month that Mata ? back in Jose Mourinho?s first-team thinking a ? could be a target for Arsenal and Unai Emery when the transfer window reopens in January.
And Mata has appeared to add fuel to the fire by speaking of his admiration for his former manager, calling Emery a ?great communicator?.
